The most recent action-packed title that gamers explored was Far Cry 6, which showcased Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the villain, Antón, and debuted during October 6, 2021. In the game universe, it has a reputation for embracing action and mayhem with similar excitement, all while telling captivating, ideologically themed stories. No wonder then that FX's recent announcement for a Far Cry limited-run show brought on board two producers whose projects have represented all of those qualities.

What to Expect

Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game property, the self-contained anthology series is set to premiere on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The series will also mirror the video games' style by introducing a new setting and group of personalities in each season.

Key Producers

Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as executive producers on the series under their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

We also want to acknowledge our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this beloved property.”

Upcoming Developments

Mac will also appear in the show, but as of now, we do not know what part that could be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just greenlit for more episodes, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new long-term contract with the showrunner.

A schedule for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus internationally.
