The President Invites Families of Shot Guard Soldiers to the White House

Former President Trump stated on the weekend that he has invited the relatives of a National Guard member killed last week to attend the executive mansion.

He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Details on the Heartbreaking Incident

US army specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a shooting on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in grave state.

Gatherings across West Virginia have taken place in their memory.

White House Call

The president said he’s talked about a White House visit for the loved ones of both members of the West Virginia Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” Trump told the press. “And likewise with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Community Response

Mourners assembled over the past few days at the high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been working with the military unit as part of Trump’s national effort to aid law enforcement in Washington DC.

Paying Tribute to Sarah Beckstrom

“Sarah was the type of pupil that educators wished for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a positive energy that encouraged people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of her previous school, stated to the media. “She was caring, caring and always eager to support those in need.”

Memorial details for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Judicial Actions and Government Revisions

Law enforcement have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of murder and two counts of violent assault while armed.

The event caused the Trump administration to halt asylum applications and cease granting visas to holders of Afghan passports.

Condition of the Airman

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, began his service in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, as reported by the news agency.

He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, West Virginia governor Morrisey stated on a news program.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general informed the program that she planned to visit his relatives.

Legacy of Sarah Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County High in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a military police officer with excellence, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had fortitude,” Morrisey informed the gathering at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
