Previous BBC Advisers Participate in Members of Parliament's Inquiry After Claims of Partiality in Disclosed Memo

She initiates by providing background to the disclosed memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and published in the Telegraph.
"I do not desire the BBC leaning in any particular direction, My only wish is for it balanced, unbiased and just," he says.
Upon being questioned whether he believes the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, the adviser responds: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, numerous aspects the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is top-tier - encompassing documentary and non-factual shows."
Nevertheless, he states: "There is significant effort that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
A further ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation specialist examined by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation very seriously and that it operates a "persistent practice and vigorous discourse" on evolving and intricate topics.
"Whether the BBC was prepared to engage in a genuine conversation and argument and take action?" she questions. "From my perspective, indeed, they were."
