The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
