Incredible $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
