Followers Urge Custody of Individual Who Touched Ariana Grande
Loyal supporters of the pop star are calling for that a person who breached a barricade and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.
A widely shared clip reveals the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers walked down a yellow carpet accompanied by fans.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by security officers.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.
History of Disruptions
This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.
"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Safety
Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further response on Instagram.
Some fans also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.
Reaction and Event Details
In videos circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.
Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

The production itself is a adaptation of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.
