In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Content
This patch also brings the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma."
